CYP3A4 makes a liver and intestinal enzyme that processes many medicines. The reviewed customer finding is limited to quetiapine: a rare poor-metabolizer result was linked to much higher drug levels, and the DPWG has prescribing guidance for that state. The result must not be generalized to every CYP3A4 medicine because effects can differ by drug and non-genetic inhibitors and inducers can outweigh genotype.
